So this may sound lame to non potter fans, but book 6 was quite possibly the saddest thing i've ever read in my life. I was in physical pain and bawling for quite a while. I needed serious endorphines afterwards so my sister and I pigged out on french toast and pancakes. Like I literally felt depressed all yesterday because it hit so close to my real life fears. I've never been moved by a peice of fiction in quite this way. I didn't even think i cared much about Harry Potter anymore. Funny.
Also, went in with my sis to get her new Powerbook at the Apple store so i could use my student ID for a student discount, turns out i could get either a free Ipod mini or 179 towards any other Ipod so i got the Ipod photo which is totally decadent but we ended up paying only 90 bucks for it because they give you an additional 30 dollar in store discount. So yay for a little decadence every now and then. I would never have asked for it otherwise to be honest but it's definately exciting to have. |

wait why did you qualify for a free IPod? do I qualify for one????
When you buy a Powerbook or ibook at the the Apple store with your student ID you get $200 off the computer and a free Ipod mini or $179 off of any other ipod. So i got the ipod photo which is normally 299. I got my 180 off of it AND they give you an additional $30 instore discount just for coming in and buying it in the store so it comes out to about 90 bucks in the end which is really worth it. The ipod photo is in color and you can store photos on it and the album art for the song your litening to shows up and its basically totally unnessisery, but its 20 gigs of space and you can store files on it, which I actually find to be a really useful thing. | |
